On the road

I walk along the road, on the boulevard of broken dream, where the city sleeps. Looking at the huge, red, round and shining sun primly, I just keep thinking, if I had a magnifier, I would light up a cigarette and rest for a little while.

I remember I set the direction according to the sun when I left home time out of mind. Unfortunately, I forget whether it was at dawn or dusk. I even don’t know how long I’ve been walking for, along this endless road, which reminds me of the situation when I was a young boy, running along a racetrack, circling and again, but never conquered that damned ellipse.

An old Greek saying comes into my mind “From alpha to omega”, stating that everyone will go through the whole process from birth till death, while I’m walking on a lonely road, the only road I have ever known. Yes, I know life is tough, and finally we will die. Why not drawing the track of life in our own style then?

大城小事

看来又回到了探讨大城市与小人物的问题上来了，因为老友要来北京发展，带着10数年的学业有成和一身简单的行囊，放弃的是我十分想念的冰天雪地。

在换环境之前大家都免不了对未来有些须憧憬，可是，这里是个落寞的城市，在大大小小的街道上每天都流动着形形色色的人物，擦肩而过或追逐而行。在偌大的舞台上上演这部生活的大戏，没有咏叹调也没有和声，只是嘈杂一片，偶尔有声音洪亮或者形象鲜明的人物出现，只在一瞬又被淹没。想起当年学习各种自然科学课程的基础时，老师总会首先要我们限定研究对象的一些参数，作为理想的环境，以简化并清晰的描绘一些规律。那么，作家笔下的小说可能也是理想状态下关于生活的一个方程式。然而，理想气体终究只是假想，放在常规的状况下就需要加入很多参量去考察，生活也一样。老马说，没有任何个体能够引导历史的潮流，英雄人物也只不过是一个导火索而已，换句话来讲，我们是不是可以这样理解，生活没有主角，那些所谓的头牌武生只不过是用来描述生活轨迹的理想参量而已？

说了很多，其实也就是要证明一点，配角并不可悲，配角并不寂寞，人心使然，相由心生，念由心生。每每想到自己的无力，总会有些萋萋然。于是陈拾遗念天地悠悠而怆然泣下的感觉便也了然。

Anyway，主角可以不做，成功可以不急，孤单可以排解，生活还要慢慢的过，太过激烈的生命容易夭折，不如用落寞来点缀，抑或，索然无味的平淡可以让些须浪漫衬托。活得精不精彩，别人可以评头论足，而至于过得是否安然，只有自己说了算。中华民族是个闷骚的民族，于是便有了闷骚的我，些须自恋，些须木讷，偶尔我也改换一下风格，于是，朋友们便异口同声："闷已不在，骚却依然⋯⋯"

WHY I USE BLOGGER?

As a matter of fact, this blog has been set up even before the .MAC blog of mine, ever since early 2005. I just signed up for an archive. Though .MAC is so amazing, it cost $99 per year, which is not that worthy I think. Besides, iWeb takes so long time to update one entry. So I turned to blogger.com, the one from google! I love google, though I love MAC so much. 

It's OK for me, 'coz I got less time to update blog. The easier, the better!

Harbin

I guess I miss Harbin a bit. Though I used to live there for only four and a half year, which was not a long time. But the most important period of my life was spent there. I miss the ice and snow, the Tower shown in the picture above, and even the damned streets which always made me confused.
